Veteran American-born entertainer Don Lane passed away yesterday morning in Sydney. He had been battling advanced stages of dementia in recent years. Most remembered for the Don Lane Show that had a successful run on the Nine Network from 1975 to 1983, he was at that stage the most highly paid personality on Australian television. He was buried today in a small and private ceremony at Macquarie Park Cemetery and Crematorium at North Ryde, while a public memorial will be held on November 5.
Were you a fan of Don Lane? Do you have favourite memories of his television shows, music and radio programs?
